Communication material associated with Vision, Aims & Draft Policies - Public Survey November 2017 - January 2018
Darnhall Neighbourhood Plan Update April 2018
The initial consultation phase for the Darnhall Neighbourhood Plan concluded on 31st January 2018 with the finalisation of our questionnaire. The Neighbourhood Plan group were pleased to receive strong support from Darnhall residents and businesses as well as from our nearby neighbours. We personally delivered the questionnaire to all residences in the Parish; Businesses and some nearby residents were also included. We received strong support, so thank you to everyone who contributed their views and ideas.
Over 50% of residents returned the questionnaire and we have received a wealth of comments and ideas that we will use in developing the Neighbourhood Plan for the parish.
The outcomes of the questionnaire will be presented at the Parish Assembly on Tuesday 29th May in the Village Hall by Councillors Richard Strachan and Tony Bostock who will describe how the results will shape the policies and content of the Darnhall Neighbourhood Plan. Your further support and contribution will be welcomed as the Plan must reflect the views of residents.

A community group coordinated by Darnhall Parish Council has started work on a Neighbourhood Plan.
WHAT IS A NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN?
A neighbourhood plan is drawn up by a community and sets out a shared vision and policies to shape the future growth and development of the local area.
The plan will be used by the Local Authority in deciding
planning applications, alongside Cheshire West and Chester’s
own Local Plan.
A questionnaire will shortly be delivered to you, the residents of the rural parish of Darnhall.
The answers you give will help in the preparation of
Darnhall Neighbourhood Plan which will then be displayed in Darnhall village hall, Winsford library and Wyvern House.
Finally, you will be asked to vote to find out if the majority of the residents of Darnhall
agree with the plan.
This is your opportunity to have a say in the future of your own parish.
The questionnaires will be delivered by volunteers who would be happy to provide help in completing the form if needed. In due course the form will be also available to download and be completed online at; www.darnhallparish.co.uk
If you would like to receive email updates about what is going on in Darnhall Parish and progress of the Neighbourhood Plan please send an email to info@darnhallparish.co.uk
More volunteers would be most welcome. If you are interested in helping with this process please contact Gilly Higgs on 01606 554272
